PL-122 Effluent Filter "A Superior Septic Tank Filter" FEATURES The PolyLok PL-122 Effluent Filter has a flow control ball that shuts off the flow of effluent when the filter is removed for cleaning. The flow will stop and the septic system will not function without replacing the filter. As a result, you do not have to pump the tank just because you had to clean the filter. The PolyLok PL-122 Effluent Filter has it's own gas deflector ball which allows the effluent to enter the filter from the sides, deflecting the solids away. It is modular, allowing you to increase your filtration area by just snapping two or more filters together. It is easy to install, with no special tools or extra parts to buy. It has the ability to adapt to either the septic tank wall, the cast in a Baffle Ready Seal, or three-inch and four inch pipes. It comes complete with it's own housing that will accept extension pipes for deeper liquid levels. ADDITIONAL FEATURES PolyLok's PL-122 Effluent Filter is constructed with 1/16th inch filtration slots that will stop all solids of a greater size. Setting PolyLok above most other filters is the fact that it provides a broader 1/16th inch filtration area than any other filter, including filtration slots on the top of the filter element. Unique to the industry, these filters are totally modular. By simply cutting out the designated flow panel on the back of the filter housing, they snap together and provide the maximum filtration! Not only the most filtration, you never have to purchase any PVC tees or pipe. MAINTENANCE (if any!) PolyLok's filter housing is engineered to provide years of maintenance-free service no matter what external forces arise during operation or service. Our housing is equipped with a gas deflection/shut-off ball that not only deflects TSS (Total Suspended Solids) from entering the filter, but stops the flow of unfiltered effluent from escaping to the field when the filter is removed for service. We also give you the option of attaching the filter unit directly to the septic tank wall, to the cast in baffle ready PolyLok outlet pipe seal or directly to three-inch or four-inch pipes. SIZING THE PL-122 FILTER Septic tank filters should be sized based upon solids removal efficiency and peak flows. For a typical four bedroom & two and a half bathroom household, one PolyLok PL-122 should be used.
