Fibres Are the Problem
Non-biodegradable material fibres are a leading cause of plugged septic system drain fields, sewer pipes, and drains. Typical lint screens used with consumer washing machines and discharge hoses trap less than 5% of these particles.
Did you know that even a new septic system can fail in as little as three years? This is primarily due to non-biodegradable material fibres plugging the soil in the septic system drain fields.
How Does This Happen?
The majority of lint fibres are very fine light-weight particles that stay in suspension in the septic tank. They then flow with the water out to the drain field where they plug the pores of the soil. Over time, the soil can become so plugged with fibres that the drain field fails to allow the effluent to migrate through the soil. Then the homeowner is faced with costly repairs.
Filtrol 160 Is the Solution
Prevention is the most effective way for home owners to avoid these problems. The solution is to use the Filtrol 160 filter. It's specifically designed to capture these minute particles right at the source of the problem - the washing machine discharge hose.
