Aquarobic
Modular Wastewater Treatment Plants

Introduction

The Aquarobic sequential batch reactor (SBR) is an advanced wastewater treatment system that combines technology with biological micro-organism processes to treat wastewater naturally. As a testament to Aquarobic's reliability, units 20 years and older are still functioning as they did when they were first installed. Systems are manufactured in all sizes, from the small single-family unit (Mini-Plant) to one large enough to service a small community or commercial establishment (Maxi-Plant).

The Aquarobic wastewater treatment plant was originally developed to meet the need for a simple, dependable treatment unit for safe disposal of liquid waste from single family homes. The justification for this development was two-fold. First, the improved protection of the environment, especially the drinking water producing aquifers, and second, the elimination of pollution from plugged drain fields.

A Number of Features Included in Standard Designs

Air blowers are of the highly efficient centrifugal design resulting in only a "whisper" sound level and low power consumption.

All air piping and porous air diffusers are fabricated from non-corroding materials.

Where water recycling is required, our aerobic upflow filter and disinfecting by chlorine, iodine or ultraviolet light plus pressurizing system are all "building block" components.

Certified testing conducted by NSFI shows results of 11mg/I BOD and 7mg?I suspended solids. These results far exceed the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency discharge standards for municipal "secondary" treatment of 30mg/I of BOD and suspended solids.
