The average septic tank should be pumped out once every two to three years. If you have a large family with a heavy water usage, then we recommend every two years. If the tank is not pumped on a regular basis, will plug your field bed. You can be sure that it is a lot more expensive to replace your field bed than to have it pumped every two years!
